A Little Book Q and A.

I've just seen an article from Shelterbox Book Club, an interview with the author, actor, director and all round favourite person of mine, Stephen Fry, who i seem to think I've mentioned somewhere before in this little blog of mine. Anyway, it was called confessions of a book traveller, and it was one of these we send you a form to fill in things, but it made me think. I love to read, though these days I'm miles behind with books, and seem to read most the comfortable old books I love, because they're what I like most to escape into.

Riddle Me This.

I love these cosy late Autumn days when it's cold outside and toasty warm inside. Just after Halloween and before the Christmas rush really starts, my mood is reflective and nostalgic. I seem to have time to think about all kinds of things and remember lots of silly little things I never remember the rest of the year.

Vanessa.

I count myself very blessed these days in my friends. I have a tight little circle of close ones, and a wide, looser web of people I know from social media who put up with my stream of ramblings, reactionary rantings, witlessness and what passes for pink bear wisdom with varying digrees of equanimity. There are three things I think have to go into any kind of real friendship. Loyalty, that's a given. Any digree of two facedness or back biting, not standing up when the chips are down and there are no second chances.

We're A Happy Family - Or not. Some Thoughts on Children's Books Of The Past and Political Correctness.

There are times when I get the urge to forsake adult books and jump back into the literature I loved as a child. It's like climbing up the magic Faraway tree into another land, a land where there are no murders, no love triangles that go on infuriatingly for three hundred pages, no distopias, no zombie apocalypses, no dark, bleak fantasies, no novels about glamorous, powerful women or unhappy, unfulfilled ones that get their revenge or go missing or watch someone from a train.

Some Thoughts on Customer Treatment and Twitter Clients.

I love Twitter. I depend on it to keep me in touch with my friends, give me news, as I grow more house bound, it is my life line. I admire and am extremely grateful to anyone who develops products which mean that I can access it more easily. I have been using the clients developed by Christopher Toth for many years now.

The DietChef Thing: Day 28.

Hey everyone.

Well this is it: you're finally rid of me! Well, not quite, I do have this one more entry to do, and I expect I'll be back with more posts and updates now and then, and I have Anchor, Youtube, Team-FM, in fact hey, what's that? You're not rid of me at all! But this is the last DietChef every day blog. Today is the 28th day of my DietChef journey.

The DietChef Thing: Day 27.

Hey everyone.

Well, I'm afraid I'll have to keep this short because I'm really tired. My DC food is getting quite low now, it's weird putting my hands into the bags and feeling almost nothing in there. Can't wait for the new, full box to come full of everything I love. Well, it better be, or I am not going to be a very happy Lulu. Today I went up on to the site and changed out some of the breakfast food, it was a cynch. When I think of how hard I found it on day 0, and how panicky I was, I have to smile at myself.

The DietChef Thing: Day 26.

Hey everyone.

I'm early tonight, but I'm tired, so thought I would pop this up now, before I drop asleep on my nose. Gosh it's been a busy day, but once more I've been strictly on the rails again.
